Welcome to the Mac’s Money Centre website. My name is Gina Robinson and I am currently the Associate Dean (Student Affairs) and a champion for teaching students important life skills around money. I recall my own journey, where much of my learning occurred later in my career resulting in missed opportunities. I am excited to share my knowledge and expertise to motivate students and develop their money confidence.
The website contains resources, tools and information on workshops and special events. It is a great way to get started and learn about how to manage your money and minimize debt. Our Mac’s Money Centre vision is to equip students with necessary financial skills to complement their academic degree. The number one reason why students attend University is to get a good career and achieve their life goals. Gaining knowledge about money and developing those skills will help you get there. Knowing what to do with your very first paycheque will set you up for life success.
There is a misconception that money management is hard. I promise you it isn’t. Take part in a workshop, make an appointment with the money coach or even just drop by the Student Success Centre to learn a little bit more about what we do. If it means getting outside of your comfort zone, do it and you won’t regret it.
Let’s start the conversation,
